I posted on here a litle while ago and got some fab suggestions for my triplet boys who are due any day now.

So, they are going to be:

Fergus Andrew
Isaac Peter
Austin Henry

What do you think?
The middle names are family names.
Two of the boys are identical but I can't decide who will have which name.

I like em.

Congrsats on your pregnancy

Besom · 23/04/2010 15:35

How exciting! I think they're lovely. Good luck.

Songbird · 23/04/2010 15:37

Good strong names - congratulations in advance!

debaronz · 23/04/2010 15:42

All good names

confusedfirsttimemum · 23/04/2010 15:42

They are all nice. I am marginally less fond of Austin, for reasons I can't quite put my finger on. But generally they are lovely, strong, classic names.

Am a big fan of Fergus as a name, but DH (who is bloody Irish) doesn't like it. Luckily we had a girl!

DrivenToDistraction · 23/04/2010 15:47

An excellent set of names, just lovely!

I'm sure you'll know which name is for who when you see them. Looking at the names I'd imagine Austin to be the non-identical triplet, no idea why

confusedfirsttimemum · 23/04/2010 15:49

As, now you see I'd think it was Fergus.

'Austin and Isaac' has a little ring to it for the matching pair.

ladyandthechocolate · 23/04/2010 15:54

Thanks ladies. Interestingly while I like all the names, Austin is the one I like least as well. I wanted Reuben instead but DH was having none of it!

I'm not hugely keen on Isaac, but love the other two.

GladioliBuckets · 23/04/2010 16:08

V nice.

Magaly · 23/04/2010 16:12

I like Fergus and Isaac. Not keen on Austin at all. Stylistically (is that a word) they are all very different.

thisisyesterday · 23/04/2010 16:13

lovely names! and congratulations x 3

confusedfirsttimemum · 23/04/2010 16:37

magaly - I like that though. I'm not a fan of the whole "names must goooo" thing.

Reuben is great.

If you're not sure about Austin, maybe you could give us your criteria and we could have a think. (Though tell me to but out. Not sure how strong your feelings were in that last comment)

Isaac is quite similar in style to other biblical names - Noah, Jacob, etc.

Fergus, hmmm. Sean, Patrick?

diddl · 23/04/2010 16:44

Not keen on Austin tbh-much prefer Reuben.
(Whispers)-Jethro?

belgo · 23/04/2010 16:45

Fergus and Isaac are great, Austin doesn't fit so well. Reuben better.

Tortington · 23/04/2010 16:46

irish
jewish
austin powers

intresting

nice you haven't gone all twee with matching names and glad all initials are different - well thought out

Tillyscoutsmum · 23/04/2010 16:47

Lovely names. I have a Fergus

confusedfirsttimemum · 23/04/2010 16:55

Well then your name is very misleading. You should be called Tillyscoutandfergus'mum!

Journey · 23/04/2010 18:55

Like Austin and Isaac but dislike Fergus. Fergus is a bit of an ugly bulky name. Austin and Isaac roll of the tongue nicely.

blametheparents · 23/04/2010 19:00

How exciting!

Are they your first, second and third children?!

Love Isaac, like Isaac, but not so keen on Austin. Love Reuben

minipie · 23/04/2010 19:00

I like Austin and Fergus, not so sure about Isaac, but still a perfectly nice name.

Only thing is, Austin Henry is v similar to Austin Healy (classic car) but then I guess that's actually potentially quite cool!

piscesmoon · 23/04/2010 19:01

Andrew, Peter and Henry are much nicer.

StealthPolarBear · 23/04/2010 19:06

Austin henry sounds a bit like austin healey
not a problem IMO but thought i should mention

downthecreek · 23/04/2010 19:08

Love Fergus.

Tinasan · 23/04/2010 19:10

Fergus and Isaac are really great...hmm Austin not that sure? All the best for when you pop!
