Views on Esther, Connie, Eleanor please??

These are 3 of our current favourites:

Esther (but not for its biblical connotations...will people immediately associate it with the bible? I like Ettie/Essie as nicknames)

Connie - Would probably give full name Constance but shorten it - also possibility of Nancy from Constance)

Eleanor - Like that it could be shortened to Nell or Ellie.

What connotations do you have with these names? (However, if really terrible, I probably don't want to know!!)

I love the name Esther. Not so fussed on the other two, but they are both nice, classic names that won't go wrong.

I like Esther a lot, but it does sound very biblical to my ear. Ettie is a very sweet NN, too.

I love Nell, but Eleanor is a priggish, old maid-ish name, for me. Much prefer Helena.
