Well two actually as we don't know the sex of the baby. I am 39 weeks tomorrow and dh and I are still undecided.

Anyone know of a good website with names - I have had a look but can't find anything. We are after fairly traditional names but most of them seem to be quite bizairre.

Many thanks.

Well Stirling
Serendipity

Thanks, family woldn't speak to me when I used it! But within three weeks of the announcement being in the paper someone else in the County had it, and when we moved here everyone loved it. it's a really nice name, and a really nice kid!

(It came from the idea that babies are expensive- Sterling- LOL, but we tell him it was the F1 driver!)

Hope seems like an appropriate choice right now for a girl; not sure of anything inspiring for a boy.

Also if you had a boys and girls name what was the one you didnt need!! and are you glad!!!
For ds3 if he had been a girl he would have been yvette! I am quite pleased he was a boy. No offence to any yvettes out there!!!

We were going to go for Stella or Coco for our dd but eventually went for Lola (christened Eleanor just in case she hates Lola when she hits puberty!!). We did think seriously about Elizabeth as there are so many ways of shortening it, if you want (Liza, Liv, Betty, Beth, etc!). For a boy we got as far as Max or something scottish (Angus, Hamish, Hector)

Bethany, Aisha and Katie were the names we didnt get to use, I would have been Peter or a Christopher had I been a boy.

The names I liked as a kid were Amy, Elaine and Scarlet, James and Daniel. Amy is someone I don't particularly like. Still love Scarlet, but Scarlet Peach? Daniel is my ex, and James (and the giant) Peach......
