I really like it, what are your opinions and impressions of it?

If it wasn't my name, I'd probably like it. It's odd, but I don't really know how to pronounce it! If you pronounce the [t] it makes it sound very posh, but dropping the [t] sounds horrible - there's no middle ground. I've been Charlie since secondary school. I've always detested Lottie, I think it sounds ridiculous on anyone over the age of 3.
When I was at school, there was only one other Charlotte for the whole 12 years. Now, you can't walk down the street for falling over Charlottes and it's bugging me!

I LOVE IT!!! It is a gorgeous, gorgeous name. Classic and pretty but it can be abbreviated to lots of lovely names too to allow your child some individuality. Go for it!

I love it ;)

I was Charlie for my childhood and teens then Charlotte now I'm approaching my 30s.

There are so many variations you can use as NN's and I've always thought it sounds rather elegant and lady like.

...that's my problem - I am not remotely elegant!

haha me neither... but i like people to think I am before they meet me!

I spose thats why lots of Charlotte's are Charlies, i think its a really cool, funky girls name.

its my name and i really like it. I never met another charlotte throughout my whole school life (i'm in my late 20's now) and i still very rarely here of any. I'm a support worker and travel around schools supporting children and it is not as popular a name as i thought it would be.
I get called Charlie by friends and family which i love beacuase its a cheerful and happy name! But i use Charlotte at work and for more serious things

I love it and really wanted it for dd but dh just kept chanting "Charlotte the harlot, Queen of the tarts " and I went off it . ( but secretly still love it )

I have a 2 year old Charlotte, who is definitely not elegant! She does get called Charlie, which I tried to avoid initially, but I have to admit it suits her better! It is popular though, although does not date, I now know a 25 year old one, a 10 year old, 3 5 year olds, a two 2 yr olds and a baby!

Do any of you have problems on prouncing the T?

Mummig I could have done without that chant in my head

I've always loved it, didn't use it for any of my dd's though.

Love Charlotte. Either Charlie or Lottie as a nn sounds nice too.

I like Lottie. But the T issue makes it less popular outside the UK i'm guessing. it only sounds nice with those crisp British Ts. sounds really casual with my soft Irish Ts. Not as bad as American way though. Charlodde.
my verdict. You have to be british to use this.

Lovely name always loved it.

It has been popular for quite a log time, it's popularity may pu me off using it, but it's certainly not a faddy name.
