I know an "Effie" tbh, I don't think most people even know what Effie is short for, I didn't and had to ask her mum .
As far as I know, this particular kid is always called Effie, never Euphemia. Effie is very cute, I like it!

'Twas my granny's name - she swore blind she would inflict grievous bodily harm on any of her children who gave the name to a grandchild, she hated it so much. Consequently, I find myself unable to like it.

We did spend an amusing afternoon trying to come up with new nicknames for her (she was known as Effie) - her favourite was Phuff......
