CS on Fri. If a boy-John Denny, but if a girl, what do you think:

Sarah Elizabeth Denny
Elizabeth Sarah Denny
Annie Elizabeth Denny

I already have a dd-Eloise Frances Denny.

I'm liking Sarah Elizabeth. Nice!

theagedparent · 03/02/2010 11:59

I like Annie Elizabeth best.

Wheelybug · 03/02/2010 12:04

Although I would probably say Annie, am not sure it sounds right with Denny (have you considered Anna ?).

Otherwise, either sounds nice - prefer Elizabeth (are you happy with shortened forms ?) but Sarah is probably more unusual these days and maybe Elizabeth too similar to Eloise ..

Hope the c-sec goes well !

My MIL name is anne and we like annie and not because of her,but worried about upsetting my mum,as she might think named after her-or should I not give a sh*t (my dh words!)

Very like Annie Kenney, a suffragette who heckled Winston Churchill

mummynumnum · 03/02/2010 12:10

Oo! I may have to google annie kenney!

I wouldn't do "Annie Denny", and I don't think Anne or Anna or any Ann names would be a vast improvement either with your surname.

Would you use a nickname for Elizabeth or just call her by the whole name?

mummynumnum · 03/02/2010 12:20

I like lizzie but not sure if eloise and elizabeth/lizzie are too similar!

pixiestix · 03/02/2010 14:29

Sarah and Eloise sounds lovely IMO

mathanxiety · 03/02/2010 15:39

Sarah Elizabeth. Annie Denny sounds too singsongy. Elizabeth and Eloise are too similar.

mummynumnum · 03/02/2010 15:43

My dh has just announced that he does not think anything wrong with annie denny,so maybe he is trying to tell me something.

Annie is lovely and I like it but Annie Denny sounds odd alright. Annabel Denny matches Eloise Denny better in style.

Elizabeth Denny is lovely and works perfectly. I also like Eliza and Libby and Elsa and Beth. You can't go wrong with Elizabeth.

Sarah is ok, but perhaps because I knew so many Sarahs growing up, I wouldn't use it for a baby, but it is quite pretty when you think about it.

MaggieTaSeFuar · 03/02/2010 16:13

hhmmm yes Elizabeth and Eloise both start with El...

What about Susannah Denny? could be susie or annie?

mummynumnum · 03/02/2010 19:37

DH says no tosuzannah. My fave is Elizabeth butworriedabout the similarity with Eloise. Think Annie Elizabeth Denny sounds good, but not 100% sure about Annie Denny=aahhhh-so hard!!!

Another vote for Anya here! I also like Eliza instead of Elizabeth! Best wishes for Friday!

mummynumnum · 03/02/2010 21:21

I like Annie, but not sure it goes with Denny.

Elizabeth is a nice name though, and goe well with your surname.

mummynumnum · 04/02/2010 09:20

What about being too similar to eloise though?
