We live in England now but met and spent a lot of time in Wales and would quite like to give DC2 a Welsh name.

We both really like Bethan, but I'd love to hear ideas of any other Welsh names that aren't difficult for English people to pronounce! Mainly girls, we're pretty stuck on Dylan for a boy.

I have two DD's named Tesni Angharad and Nia Haf. Tesni means the feeling of the first summer sun on your skin, meddai nhw!!! (allegedly). My DH chose Nia, and now we are on DD number 3 and have run out of ideas!!!

I hope the names we have already chosen helps you, I shall read on selfishly hoping to find the perfect name for our next!!

Happy searching!

My firend's husband is welsh and her daughter is called 'Gwynneth'. I hate dit at first, but it has really grown on me now and I love it.

I love Imogen too.

Mair,
Manon,
Gwenno,
Ceinwen,
Blodwen (my favourite if we have a dd but DH isn't so sure!)
Gwawr (not sure it passes the easy to say test though for non-welshies)

mejon · 18/01/2010 15:41

Is Imogen really a Welsh name? I'd be very surprised if it was (but happy to be proven wrong!)
