Angela seems a bit dated IMO

Is this ready for a comeback yet? I've not had good feedback from those I've confided in so far.

I did know a nice Angela in my sixth form if that helps

It's very dated and I don't think it's due a comeback for about 30 years.

Angelica or Angelina much nicer imo.

I think it seems quite dated, and would be worried she would end up being called Angie or Ange

I have a lovely friend called Angela so am biased in favour of it but she is known as Ange so not sure if that would put me off! Angel is nice though?

Mine is often referred to as 'The Ange'.

I have only ever known one Angela and she was such a lovely lady - she was I suppose middle-aged when I knew her, and I was at primary school. It has nice connotations for me. Maybe PP is right and it is due for a revival?

I wouldn't use it personally cos don't like any of the Angelas I know, but that is the only reason. Think it's very pretty name in itself

It's too 70's boring for my liking (sorry, don't want to offend any Angelas!!)...
