Without wanting to come across as a total cow...

please say you are joking

JollyPirate · 02/12/2009 15:43

Is this Lolatheshowgirl under another guise ..... only kidding MrsMH.

Not sure I'd choose any of those names but if I had to make a choice then I like Ambrose the best.... although I did have a friend whose cat was Ambrose.....

Hullygully · 02/12/2009 15:43

Oh I love those! I have three sons with those very same names!!! What a co-inky-dinky!

LowLevelWhingeing · 02/12/2009 15:44

I quite like Algernon actually

Algie is a lovely nn.

MrsVik · 02/12/2009 15:44

Algernon is my fave from those. Peregrine reminds me of Lord of the Rings, or falcons. Ambrose reminds me of custard.

BitOfFun · 02/12/2009 15:45

Have you considered Ignatius? Iggie for short is very sweet

Hullygully · 02/12/2009 15:45

Our little Ambrose is Nec-Nec for short (from nectar!!!!!!)

Cicatrice · 02/12/2009 15:45

I think Algernon, easy to shorten if he doesn't feel he can carry it off later.

Hullygully · 02/12/2009 15:46

Our Algernon is called Algae, especially when he's been in the pond!!!!!!!!!!

MrsMerryHenry · 02/12/2009 15:47

Hully!!! What a co-inky dinky indeed! But I think you're just taking the 'iss with 'Nec-Nec'

I like Walgernon - after the Just William story where he pretends to be his sickly sweet twin brother Algernon - but starts to say William.

Hullygully · 02/12/2009 15:49

Me too.

controlfuckingfreaky · 02/12/2009 15:57

Hullygully · 02/12/2009 16:04

I just can't believe what's happening here today...it's synchronicity. They are my guinea pigs' names!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

controlfuckingfreaky · 02/12/2009 16:06

MrsMerryHenry · 02/12/2009 16:08

Why do I get the feeling you're not taking my precious name choices seriously?

Hullygully · 02/12/2009 16:08

Wow! My Dawkinsdaughter is called LeCreusetta. Now that's classy.

Hullygully · 02/12/2009 16:09

MrsMerryHenry · 02/12/2009 16:10

Hullygully · 02/12/2009 16:11

I'm not big. But I am clever.

WoTmania · 02/12/2009 16:11

They are fab names - all of them - so no help in choosing from me I'm afraid.
Which goes best with last name? Make sure there are no embarrasing acronyms from initials.

controlfuckingfreaky · 02/12/2009 16:11

i've said they're lovely, what more do you want you old bat (hmm, have you thought of bram / dracula?)

MrsMerryHenry · 02/12/2009 16:22

Our surname is Falconry. Quite a good fit, don't you think?

Hully, but you have a big personality!

Walgernon is a brilliant name. I'm laughing out loud remembering that Just William story.

pooter · 02/12/2009 19:15

yey! another William fan!
