PandaG · 10/11/2009 20:59

2 Marthas have been through the Pre-school I work in, in the last couple of years. Know one 10 y o Florence (Flossie)

No Beatrices though

Scottie22 · 10/11/2009 20:59

I don't know any lo's with those names although I have friends of my age called Florence and Beatrice.

I like all these names - Martha was on my shortlist too!!

epithet · 10/11/2009 21:00

None of those round here (SW), but I would have a Florence if I had another dd .

Brightfield · 10/11/2009 21:02

I'm in London and every other baby girl I meet is called Martha! It is uber popular here.

I know of a few Florences and one Beatrice.

Beatrice is my favourite on your list.

MagNacarta · 10/11/2009 21:03

Yes, all three. Not to say you shouldn't have a name you like though. DD1 has a name that was unusual when she was born and is a popular name for babies now. Nothing I can do about it.

MrsMalcolmTucker · 10/11/2009 21:03

Yes - there's one of each in our (small) playgroup, and another couple in dd's school.

We live in a nice semi-rural part of west Yorkshire btw. They're quite middle class names I think. I like them all - that's not a criticism, just an observation.

Hulababy · 10/11/2009 21:03

2 of these names Martha and Florence) are top of my list if I have another child and it was a girl. I love them.

There is one Martha and one Beatrix (similar to Beatrice) but noone called Flornece in DD's school - of 90 girls.

There are none of the names in the school I work at - aprox 135 girls.

There is def a Martha in my friend's DD's Y2 class.

We are in Sheffield.

I know a Martha and a Flo, but remember Beatrice is the name of Heather McCartney's daughter... let that be a warning!

traceybath · 11/11/2009 12:55

I've just had a Beatrice and only know one other.

Also know one Florence.

newgirl · 11/11/2009 14:37

know one of each - and ive got two school children so i dont think they are massively widespread

doubleexpresso · 11/11/2009 14:55

Yes, all becoming increasingly popular. Very pretty, but there are going to be lots of them.

hormonalmum · 11/11/2009 15:30

Thank you, I love all these names but one has a family connection, like dd1's name.

We do not yet know what this lo is, but I am just toying with these girls names.

My dd has an "old" name that is becoming increasingly popular.
