Very top ten traditional round here (south west). Grace, Daisy, Tilly, Poppy, Isabella for girls, Tom, Ben or Oliver for boys. All lovely names but getting abit yawnsome and to be avoided if you dont want your child to be one of 3 in a class.

Really like all your names, Beatrice the best. Have not come across any of these, did know a few Marthas and Florences in London though.

Not really popular. Martha the most popular out of the 3.

Tidey · 11/11/2009 23:19

I know one Beatrice and have never met any Florences or Marthas.

I know a Beatrice and a Martha. Like Beatrice and Florence but not Martha.

Beatrice - lots in their mid-teens (Bea, Bibi & Trixxie)
Martha - I know one baby Martha
Florence - yup pretty popular from about 10 years old down to babies (Flo, Florrie, Flossie).

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/11/2009 19:32

Florence - 1 at dd's small nursery school, and one Florrie which I assume is short for Florence born a few weeks ago in my village.

Martha - none locally, so only know one belonging to a friend made through MN.

Beatrice - know one 3 year old one, and 2 friends have used this summer as a middle name.

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 12/11/2009 20:44

They're all quite popular around here (at least, not rare) but nowhere near as ubiquitous as Ruby, Olivia or Grace. Yet.

BettyButterknife · 13/11/2009 13:46

I was going to be called Martha, and that was 32 years ago

I know one Florence, one Beatrice (my age!), but don't know any Marthas.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/11/2009 13:47

all three YES big time

Plonker · 13/11/2009 13:51

Florence and Martha - yes

Beatrice - no

Beatrice is my fav, followed by Florence. I really really dislike Martha - I don't know why though ...

lljkk · 13/11/2009 13:54

lol, I really dislike Beatrice. I just don't like the letter B, maybe...
Florence: I know a few. Don't know anyone with the other names.

Crazycatlady · 13/11/2009 13:54

I have a 10 month old Beatrice. Didn't know any others round here (SW London) until another on our road was born a couple of months ago. But I think it is becoming more popular. Lovely though, if I do say so myself... .

Martha and Florence I hear a lot of people talking about these as nice names but don't know of any locally.
