Do you like this name? My BF can't decide if she likes it or not. She has a DD called Nicole and a DS called Jake.

I don't really care if you disagree with me Cinderella.

A name is just that, a name, it doesn't make someone behave in a certain way. How they are raised will make them behave one way or another, but not their name.

Oh snap Lockets. Dd1 is Lauren and someone once said that was chavvy.

'Thisisyesterday' has a serious chip on her shoulder. Not going to retaliate not worth it..

I really don't go for names that sound deliberately outlandish, spelled weirdly or the really old-fashioned Edna/Mavis/Gladys ones that seem to be making a comeback. I still wouldn't label other people's choices as chavvy, I'd just say I'm not fond of them.

Is this sudden snarling all because so many people said Belle Kitten was daft?

oh, no chip. just dislike hypocritical narrow-minded posters who come on calling innocent little girls "trailer trash" and implying that they'll never amount to anything just because of their name

If you see Paige at the top of a CV WHAT would you think???Please don't be nasty/bitchy/defensive!!!!It's a hideous name and instead of respecting my opinion you're being highly strung and immature. If my opinion bothers you so much don't bother commenting on my messages.Sweet dreams xxxx

trailer trash
chav
chavvy
lairy

I think that whoever is looking at the cv is usually looking at grades/experience ect.
rather than your name.

sorry you dont get the job as you are called paige.????

if i was looking through CV's i wouldn't be paying tht much attention to the name, i would be looking for the person most suited to the job.
beacuse i don't judge people on what their parents decided to call them.

Have no feeling re Paige (sounds a bit American-not that that's bad), but dh teaches a girl with that name and her surname is Turner (am hoping the average 15 yrold doesn't read mumsnet)

Well if you didn't 'judge' people on what parents called their children then why spend so much time on a site discussing what to call your children and how others perceive the names???

My son is called Ellis James and I only joined this site recently.I was joking huns about 'Belle Kitten'can't believe you all took me seriously.I'm a Catholic and Kitten IS NOT a saint's name lol.
That msge wasn't wasn't for you lockets btw.I expressed my opinion about the name Paige as the parents asked for feedback.I didn't offend any of you or your children.I don't understand the need for bitchiness.
