For me, its the radio 2 newsreader Fenella Fudge. I think it sounds like a Harry Potter name but it always makes me smile.

i like that name too.....prob cos it sounds like vanilla fudge which i particularly like...

i always chuckle with DH at Riz Lateef.....imagine someone is going to come on screen with two buckteeth made from rizla papers....silly

persephoneplum · 22/10/2009 10:57

Anton Enis (yes, said like the other word with the p on the front) - newsreader

Also, a little Aurelia I know... just because it's so refreshing and distinguished and I feel joy when I hear it.

I was about to post Fenella Fudge as soon as i read the thread title

TheMightyToosh · 22/10/2009 11:00

Nina Nana - used to be a weather girl but I think she does national news sometime now.

chaosisawayoflife · 22/10/2009 13:52

I'm not going to be able to hear Riz Lateef again without chuckling now! Never saw it that way before.

Yes Nina Nana! That always makes me

Alistair Darling always makes me chuckle as it sounds like his mummy is calling him!

Iklboo · 22/10/2009 13:54

I like Nina Nana too - she gets called Nanoo Nanoo in our house

Iklboo · 22/10/2009 13:55

And there's a prouction person on Rick Stein's show called Arazoo Farazad - which sounds much better if said out loud in the style of a Harry Potter spell

TheDevilEatsBabies · 22/10/2009 13:55

in nottingham there used to be a solicitor called Rupert Bear.

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 22/10/2009 13:59

I have to say it because it's making my teeth itch - it's "whose name" not "who's name".

chaosisawayoflife · 22/10/2009 14:06

oh ffs

My dh always laughs at poor Riz lateef too .... but his take is that she steals rizlas (rizla-thief!) rather than has them as teeth . She cannot appear on our tv without him chuckling!

Amarie · 22/10/2009 14:21

ADragon... - it would only be "whose name" if the sentence went .... "a person whose name makes you smile". But the current question "Who's name makes you smile?" is grammatically correct. Shuffle on.

LynetteScavo · 22/10/2009 14:23

A boy at my sons school called Newton. For ages DS though he was called Mutant.

NorbertDentressangle · 22/10/2009 14:25

Tulip Mazunda ( a radio news person IIRC) - especially as I first heard it as Gazunder which was the name my grandparents used for chamber pots (ie. "gazunder" the bed)

NorbertDentressangle · 22/10/2009 14:26

lol at Mutant

chaosisawayoflife · 22/10/2009 14:29

Thank you so much Amarie, I've been sitting here stewing and huffing about having my grammatical errors pointed out for all to see. I think that posting on a thread just to point and laugh at someone's mistakes is a pretty sad way of making yourself feel superior and if I was right all along then I'm very happy!

definately nina, also tanita tikaram (showing age) and jay vydelingum (classic fm newsreader).

NorbertDentressangle · 22/10/2009 14:47

Edward Woodwood.

allaboutme · 22/10/2009 20:27

Love Tulip Mazunda on radio 1, also like Pixie McKenna the Dr on the TV

lilyjen · 22/10/2009 20:29

A weatherman called Ben bot

CheeeseOnToast · 22/10/2009 20:31

I also love Riz Lateef. I've always pictured her with rotten smokers' teeth (you know what i mean, teeth that look a bit brown or dirty and nicotine stained). By no way implying that those who smoke all have rancid teeth, thats just the association I make!!

But she has lovely, white teeth so somewhat disproves my silly theory

DebiTheScot · 22/10/2009 20:39

We are selling our house at the moment and dealing with someone whose/who's surname is Fullalove.
Makes the process slightly less stressful when I can't help smiling every time I get an email from her.
