Italian, Spanish or French girls names...

I realise that's quite a wide brief...

Dh's family is Italian, my dad's family is Italian, my mum's family is Argentine with some French. I have a French first name, dh has an Italian first name, ds has an Italian first name (Luca) so I'm a bit stumped for girls names.... never thought I'd be having a girl, so I never gave it a thought!

So far I only like Carlotta....

I've also been considering Giovanna, but I need more inspiration. I really didn't think I'd ever have a dd, so I haven't a clue about girls names!

I have a French cousin called Salome, always thought that was a fine name. Colette is lovely too.

GrapefruitMoon · 12/09/2009 16:21

I came across the name Catheline recently and wished I'd used it for dd's middle name...

BonsoirAnna · 12/09/2009 16:32

My DD is Flora - that works in all those languages. My name is Anna, and that works in English, Italian and French.

oh, i forgot my beautiful spanish friend's name Marisol

HeadFairy · 12/09/2009 22:21

Chiara is nice... so is Cara.... I keep being drawn to the Cs! Elodie is rather pretty too... these are great, keep 'em coming. DH is really picky, so I'm going to have a loooong short list (if that's not a contradiction!)

Maia

I know a few little girls with similar backgrounds who are called Maia / Maya. Dd is one of them: Argentinian father, English mother, Italian surname. Just make sure you don't spell it Maya because the Argentinians will call her Masha.

persephoneplum · 15/09/2009 14:13

My absolute favourite is Paloma.
If only my husband would agree

Ottilie is also gorgeous.
