Daphne from Neighbours, gasping "I love you, Clarky" with her dying breath.

Aw.

RustyBear · 04/08/2009 16:20

It has to be Neighbours' Daphne - the only person ever to give birth through a pair of tights.....

WibblyPigRocks · 04/08/2009 16:22

LLVL2 - you stole my post - I was just about to write that!!

Although, rustybear, you also make a good point!

HeadFairy · 04/08/2009 16:22

Scooby dooby doo, where are you, we need a helping hand

Granny23 · 04/08/2009 16:27

Daphne Broon

I actually know two RL Daphnes. Both are ALWAYS to be addressed as Dee. We also had a Daphne at school who was always called Dafty. Bestowal of this name on an unsuspecting DD should be a hanging offence.

random · 04/08/2009 16:29

Neighbours

Goldfish food for some reason

PuppyMonkey · 04/08/2009 16:31

I think of Some Like it Hot too. Then Scooby Doo. Then a nice shop that used to be near me selling interesting second hand stuff called "Daphne's Handbag"

Would never have thought of Du Maurier actually. I am too thick.

OrmIrian · 04/08/2009 16:34

Fish food.

And there's a really lovely scented shrub that flowers in the spring called Daphne something or other.

wastingmyejumication · 04/08/2009 16:35

Some Like It Hot, then Neighbours.

BakewellTarts · 04/08/2009 17:43

Actually first things I think of is (extremely minor) character in Malory Towers books by Enid Blyton.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 04/08/2009 17:53

Des and Daphne

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 04/08/2009 17:56

My first thought was the Broons as well.

aarghhelp · 04/08/2009 18:02

Our friendly 76 year old neighbour walking her poodle in the rain while wearing thick brown tights.

jellybeans · 04/08/2009 19:02
