piscesmoon · 24/07/2009 22:28

No

bigstripeytiger · 24/07/2009 22:28

I quite like it, though probably not with a surname starting with M.

used2bthin · 24/07/2009 22:29

I know of a girl called Marley the same age as my DD, Ilike it.

slowreadingprogress · 24/07/2009 22:29

I think it's ugly. Don't even like it for a boy. Chavvy.

sleepsforwimps · 24/07/2009 22:29

I once knew a girl called Amalia, everyone called her Mali (pronounced Marley). Would you consider Marley as a nn? I always thought Amalia was a beautiful name with a great nn.

MollieO · 24/07/2009 22:31

Lovely name for a labrador.

chubbychipmonk · 24/07/2009 22:48

brimfull · 24/07/2009 22:51

Marlene
marle for nn

not my cup of tea but thought I'd suggest

MadEyeballsMoody · 24/07/2009 22:55

Oh God... Seriously, it's awful. Very silly and reminds me of Jacob Marley and his chains.

MadEyeballsMoody · 24/07/2009 22:56

Just read your list of proper names and they are a million times better.

chubbychipmonk · 24/07/2009 22:57

jemart · 24/07/2009 23:07

Of your shortlist I like Faith and Sophie.

puffylovett · 24/07/2009 23:10

An old friend had a DD named Marley. she was mixed race (is that the pc way to refer these days ?), had the most GORGEOUS curly dark hair and beautiful skin tone, they named her Marley cos they were both mad about Bob Marley... she was a stunner. I think it's really cute TBH, but mainly because I have such a lovely picture of that name already

MsF · 24/07/2009 23:13

what about MARLEIGH ....then at least spelling different
