Frida, Greta, Cassie or Annie?

I like all of them except Annie, it just reminds me of the musical, sorry . The others are all lovely, I don't think I could pick a favourite.

I'm partial to Cassie as its my dds name.
Not keen on Greta, though its one that may grow.

Do you pronounce Frida as in Freda or with an 'i' sound? If so, it sounds harsh and grumpy old lady to me; and I love old lady names.

Greta is beautiful.

I prefer Cass as a nn for cassandra but it's ok. It is a very popular dogs name though so just bear that in mind.

Annie is pretty but it's one of those names that sounds like it's a nn but isn't. Don't use it if your DD will have ginger hair though.

didn't realise cassie was a bit of a dog's name - the nonesuch have you come across that?

we do have ginger in the family although both me & dh have dark hair so I don't think it's likely...

Don't let that put you off. Lots and lots of dogs are called Toby but it's still a popular and pleasant boys name. And Jake!

I've never seen that spelling of Frida. Only ever seen it spelt Freda so it may be one open to being misspelt. But hey, I've got a Catherine and people regularly spell it wrong. Either they miss out the 'e' or they start it with a 'k' (that's probably my fault as she's known as Kitty, but still!)

Greta just sounds like she's elegant and beautiful. But hey, just go with your instinct. None are awful or sound made up.

Paddy also popular dogs name but I know a 5yr old Paddy (he's Patrick)and think it's a great name.

Cassie is not a dogs name.

Its short for Cassidy though not Cassandra here.

Mind you I loved the name Cressida but couldn't use it after someone I know named their dog that!

I have a Cassie too so I'm biased on that one!

I think Frida and Greta are both very harsh sounding and aren't pretty or feminine.

Annie is lovely.

Don't waste time worrying about the movie or any other references - somebody's always gonna know a character/dog/naughty child with that name so they won't like it. As long as you do that's all that matters!

I know 1 person called Cassie and no dogs called Cassie so to me it's a people name

Frida (is the spelling as in Frida Kahlo) and you also have Frieda (more german spelling) All said the same way, depending on country of origin the spelling ...

Cassandra was one of my top 3 names for DD, but DH vetoed it, so that's what we've called the guinea pig instead.

Greta is by far my favourite.

I like Cassie and Greta, Annie is nice but I'd go for Anna, not keen on Frida reminds me of a horrid tutor.
