he he no you're not. I am so sad I am counting how many yeses and nos for each one! Cassie seems to be winning at the moment, closely followed by Greta. Although at the same time Greta is the one with most nos too - I guess it's a love it or hate it name..

I met a Greta in my doctors waiting room, she was about four and I fell in love with the name, Beautiful.

Cassandra has terrible association with negativity though. You know, Cassandra/Pollyanna

I'd rather be the pollyanna

abitclueless · 21/07/2009 21:02

I wouldn't go with Cassandra though, just plain Cassie. Do you think people would assume she was a Cassandra?

Cassie can be short for Catherine too.

tattycoram · 21/07/2009 21:19

I love Cassie, and I like Frida too, but would spell it Frieda - which is how my great aunt spelled it

BunnyLebowski · 21/07/2009 21:35

abitclueless My dd is just plain Cassie. She's named after my gran who was Catherine but known by her family as Cassie.

DP and I just went for Cassie as we're not keen on Catherine or Cassandra (can't get Only Fools and Horses bird out of my head).

No-one has assumed dd is anything other than Cassie!

Annie is great. (my name)
Frida is very classy (la Khalo)
Cassie is the anorexic one in Skins.
Greta is hard to live up to I think.

liliputlady · 21/07/2009 22:05

I vote 4 Greta - I've never met one; it's lovely.

abitclueless · 21/07/2009 22:21

wickerman, in what way do you think Greta is hard to live up to?

love greta was one of my favourits when having dd but dh didnt like it.
like annie but dont like frieda or cassie.

qumquat · 27/07/2009 09:35

Greta is my favourite, very elegant and classy. I only like Frida spelt Frieda for some reason, maybe because I speak German and it means 'peace' which I like, Frida looks harsher I think.

Annie - that was my choice of name for DD but we ended up going for DH choice. TTC number 2 and would deffo go for Annie this time!!
