Haribosmummy · 12/06/2009 21:54

Florence - not for me and it doesn't really fit with the other girls names imo.
Daisy - I like it and I think it goes well with Tilly and Scarlett.
Stella - nice but sounds a bit too much like Tilly and Scarlett iyswim, a bit like you merged them together
Beatrice - nice but not convinced it goes withTilly and Scarlett (don't know f this matters to you btw but it would to me).
Martha - Great, good name that goes with the others.
Phoebe - Great, again good name that goes with the others.
Heidi - I can't get past the fact that Kerry Katona has a child with this name. Sorry.

I like all of your oys name choices and think that they all would go with their sibs names.

janeite · 12/06/2009 21:59

Lovely names for your dds.

I like Florence, Daisy, Beatrice and Martha from your girls' list.
I don't like Heidi and really dislike Stella.

I don't much like any of the boys' names, sorry but if I had to pick one it would be Alexander. Seth and Fraser are particularly bad imho.

19fran76 · 12/06/2009 22:03

Like: Florence, Stella, Beatrice, Seth, Rufus.

Don't like: Heidi, Fergus, Fraser.

Neutral on the rest.

Tillyscoutsmum · 12/06/2009 22:03

Thanks for the comments so far.

I do like Daisy but worry it would be more suited to a delicate flower like girl (dd was a 10lber and 98th centile so has never really been delicate )

I like Stella but not sure I can get past the Artois connotations

The KK issue with Heidi is acknowledged and noted

We are not Scottish but our surname is...

Keep 'em coming. Thanks

Stella, Martha, Seth are really great.

suwoo · 12/06/2009 22:05

I'm no good to you. I like them all .
Favourites are Martha and Rufus.

nevergoogledragonbutter · 12/06/2009 22:07

EyeballshasManBoobs · 12/06/2009 22:07

Stella
Beatrice
Phoebe
Heidi

Fergus
Fraser
Alexander
Finlay

19fran76 · 12/06/2009 22:08

Ha! Hadn't considered the Artois vibe. Have noticed a lot of flower names for baby girls of late so another pick may work better anyhoo

nevergoogledragonbutter · 12/06/2009 22:13

congratulations btw tsm, great news.

i think your girls name list needs more work though. what else you got?

wotulookinat · 12/06/2009 22:14

Florence - nice name, like it.
Daisy - no, unless you are having a cow.
Stella - beer. No.
Beatrice - royal family. No.
Martha - my middle name. It is ok.
Phoebe - nice name.
Heidi - yes, I like it.

Fergus - no no no
Fraser - it's ok.
Alexander - yes, that's nice
Seth - no, I wouldn't use it.
Finlay - the fire engine...
Rufus - are you having a dog?

Tillyscoutsmum · 12/06/2009 22:17

Thanks DB Don't know - help me out. I quite like Claudia ? Sophia ? but its definitely girls names we're struggling with

OP posts:
nevergoogledragonbutter · 12/06/2009 22:25

oh dear, we have different taste i'm afraid.
i'm not into names that end with -a, -ie, -y.
they don't sound strong enough to me.

mooseloose · 12/06/2009 22:26

I can't say Seth without a bit of a lisp! Like Finlay. Like Florence Martha and daisy. Stella nice but doesn't go with the dc so nicely.

Tillyscoutsmum · 12/06/2009 22:27

ah - most of my favourites end in -ie or -y but I want to try and avoid them because I think they sound a bit twee with Tilly

Hey ho - maybe it will be a boy and we can call it Lance, Cavendish or Cadel and be done with it

OP posts:
nevergoogledragonbutter · 12/06/2009 22:29

now we're talking, cadel is fab.
