Baby boy list- do you like any of them?

Having trouble agreeing on a name with DH. I am happy with more popular classic names but he isn't keen and wants something unusual. Am floating a few ideas on here. What do you think?

Raphael
Elias
Atticus
Hugo
Caspar

Any more good ideas gratefully received!

My cat is called Atticus

I like them all! (so not very helpful!)

I think i like Atticus the most, but that could be because dh hates it, and it is a case of wanting most what you cant have!

Hugo is the one i like least.

How will you pronounce Elias, Ee-lye-us or Ill-ee-us (if that makes sense?) I prefer the first pronunciation myself.

I'm not adverse to any of them but I really love Hugo.

How are you (or anyone) pronouncing Raphael? Only I only ever knew one, in Ireland if that makes a difference re: pronunciation and he was Rafe-el. So I don't really know if that's the correct way or what.

I always pronounce it Raff-eye-ell when I see it

That's what I was wondering - I'd assume that's the correct way but it makes it a bit of a mouthful.

I like them all- fab choices! But particularly like Hugo.

I'd pron. Rah-fah-el and I like it, if a bit feminine. Least keen on Atticus and Caspar.

Oh and get your DP to go to a party with people he doesn't know and pretend he's called Atticus and see if he likes it.....

I'm with seeker on this one - maybe its because I have older boys but I always suggest the 'ten year old' test! My ten year old has ruled that only Raphael or Hugo would be ok and that Raphael is the cooler of the two!

Raphael - love Raffy / Raff so yes like this by association although not as a stand along name IYSWIM

Elias - undecided

Atticus - a bit too achingly hip & serious contender for playground bullying!

Hugo - not keen but a good solid traditional name if that's what you're after

Caspar... the friendly ghost (sorry!)
