I like them both, although I like the spelling Darcey or Darcie better and I like the spelling Lexie.

dizzydixies · 25/04/2009 10:31

lol Mo, I'm apparently a bitter gift from god

MaureenMLove · 25/04/2009 10:33

I agree with you. It's not just about being formal, but about the shouty aspect! It's Lexie, when everything is lovely and ALEXANDRA! when she's being told off! Tis an important thing to remember when maning your children!

MaureenMLove · 25/04/2009 10:34

You? Bitter? Never!

That's me, DH reckons if I was a sweet, I'd be a cough candy, because I'm bitter and twisted!!

dizzydixies · 25/04/2009 10:39

did he get home ok?

MaureenMLove · 25/04/2009 10:42

Not back yet! Still on an aeroplane somewhere in the world! He's flight is due in at 4pm. Me and DD are going at about 12.30, I think. It'll take just over an hour to get there, but I need to be there well before the flight lands because he doesn't know I'm going!

dizzydixies · 25/04/2009 10:44

oh thats lovely

cornishwelk · 25/04/2009 13:49

There were two lexies on the post natal ward when my ds was born. It just sounds like a nickname, so my vote goes to Darcy.

sweetkitty · 25/04/2009 16:00

I like both briefly thought of Darcie for DD3 but DP didn't like it.

Alexandra nn Lexie is lovely

One of my girls' names means House of Figs

TheBolter · 25/04/2009 16:05

Alexandra one of my fave names, a hot contender if I have a dd3.

Darcy v nice. Lexi is I think a name chosen by Amanda Holden and Alex Curran - neither of whom I would want to share my daughter's names with (miaoww!!).

3boys4girls · 25/04/2009 16:46

I love both names but I'm an Evertonian and could never name my child the same as Steven Gerrards, LOL I'm joking, I wanted Lexi (Alexa) for my last baby but my sister (was due a few weeks after me) wanted it too so I just dismissed it. Darcy is one of them names that I've pushed for with each of my daughters and my DH refused it! Booooo to him. They're both lovely names but I do fear taht Lexi is becoming far too popular.

I also didnt like that as soon as we mentioned it people made a lot of negative comments "sexy Lexi" was the most worrying

itfcbabe · 26/04/2009 10:37
