DH and I both like it but are worried about it being shortened to cassy which is quite girly

well...I suppose that explains your liking the name...

i met a woman on a checkout oddly who said she used to be a teacher and had taught a teen boy with the same name as my ds4

she said she had only met the two

number one had a dad who was crazy and had a lot of children with different Mums

i was pleased

I like a crazy name!!!

I do think that the people we know really influence which names we like...
like my boys, well, es and ys are unusual over here, but they are names that were common enough when I grew up and where I grew up, i.e. Germany...

I think it is more difficult when you work in education... it took us a long time to decide over DS's name. The registrar said she had never heard of one being registered in our city before.... which as far as I am concerned is a good thing

Cassius is lovely, but I think I prefer Cassian myself.
