Mrs B, I almost choked!

mrsblanc · 31/03/2009 00:45

I think I should go to bed

NotanOtter · 31/03/2009 00:48

Mrs b - dare to be different Phallus for a girl ?

phdlife · 31/03/2009 00:54

MrsB that is a fab list

when we are getting desperate (I am 39+2 and we've got no boy's name) we resort to a postmodern take on Victorian 'virtue' names:

Spite
Malice
Scorn
Sarcasm

etc

seriouscase · 31/03/2009 01:23

Lol Mrs B that is funny.

phdlife, are you the mnetter who only discovered the pregnancy quite far along and then emigrated? Or is that someone else?!

tummytickler · 31/03/2009 11:39

Ha - go to bed early and it all happens! .
I cant even remember the suggested names now!
Will have to go back and hace a look again!

Titus = tight @rse ! lol

Cedric is marginally better than Ulysses

phdlife · 31/03/2009 13:14

seriouscase I was rather hoping that ppl would've forgotten by now!

singersgirl · 31/03/2009 13:29

Titus Anatschuff. I can never hear Titus without thinking of that old, old joke. Actually, I like the name Titus but think as it begins with Tit and sounds like 'tight ass' it is far too open to ridicule.

Now Ulysses is awful. Pretentious does not even begin to describe it. Just imagine the daily difficulties with spelling it out to others. I'm not sure that Yule or You'll as the most obvious shortening are particularly nice either.

Artemis was a female goddess. I know that Artemis Fowl is a boy, but still...

And Zeus - power hungry or what?

But what do I know? I wanted to call DS2 Rex (which isn't exactly modest) but DH vetoed it.

janeite · 31/03/2009 17:57

Titus makes me think of Captian Oates. I think I am still rather in love with him.

seriouscase · 31/03/2009 18:49

Sorry Phdlife! But your story came into my mind the other day and couldn't remember your name. Good luck for your imminent arrival!
