Juliet for a girl?

I love this name for a girl but I am worried it is a bit unusual and people will think I am mad. Any opinions?

I think it's pretty. It's a bit unusual perhaps but I do know a (very lovely) baby Juliet.

Ceolas · 27/03/2009 14:33

I know a 3 year old Juliet. I think it's very pretty and wouldn't think you were mad

wilkos · 27/03/2009 14:34

its lovely go for it!

roseability · 27/03/2009 14:37

I am always conscious that it isn't just about what the parents like but any impact it would have on the child i.e. the playground test

It's lovely. It's my mum's name and my dd's second name.

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 27/03/2009 14:39

I had a lovely friend called Juliet when I was a child and recently was thinking what a lovely name it is.

TheJester · 27/03/2009 14:41

LOVE this name. I like classic strong but feminine names that don't end in 'a'. There aren't that many that fit the bill. I also like Vivien, Beatrix, Annabel and Phoebe.

I like it without the extra t and e. Juliet. Juliette looks awful. LIke a French side dish'.

blametheparents · 27/03/2009 14:42

DS's best friend os called Juliet, she is 7

JulesJules · 27/03/2009 14:42

Lovely name.

WowOoo · 27/03/2009 14:43

Nice name. Just hope there will be no Romeos in her class when older. Doubt it though.

I think of Juliet Bravo too. Tough police woman from 80's on TV.

Nancy66 · 27/03/2009 14:44

Won't she get called Julie?

TheJester · 27/03/2009 14:47

Not unless she says "call me Julie"

My name has versions if you like. And nobody calls me the other version. Cos that's not my name (to quote the ting tings)

Jojay · 27/03/2009 14:48

Love Juliet. Go for it!

ilovemydogandMrObama · 27/03/2009 14:51

DD's middle name

roseability · 27/03/2009 14:53

encouraged by such positive response! I do like Julie as well but would prefer she was called Juliet.
