I love it !!

SoupDragon · 18/03/2009 17:55

Nope. Don't like it.

MargotBeauregarde · 18/03/2009 17:55

I like that!

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 18/03/2009 17:55

sadie - I think it's the kind of name one calls ones dog - perhaps an alsatian or an afghan.

MargaretMountford · 18/03/2009 17:55

although it's now made me think of Sadie Frost - but it was my best friend's grandma's name- v cute

nappyaddict · 18/03/2009 17:56

Not as unusual as you might think. I know 3 under 5 with this name.

MargotBeauregarde · 18/03/2009 17:56

Some dogs have very nice names that's all.

HecatesTwopenceworth · 18/03/2009 17:56

It's not bad.

I wanted Savannah for a girl.

Bloody lucky I had 2 boys, really.

ellingwoman · 18/03/2009 17:57

I've always disliked it since the Beatles song 'Sexy Sadie' which I hated. Plus it has the words 'Sad' and 'die' in it. And it sounds a bit like 'sadist'. So, all in all, not for me

jkklpu · 18/03/2009 20:55

there was an annoying American girl in St Clare's (or was it Mallory Towers), so I could never use it

CrackerNut · 18/03/2009 20:56

My friend has just named her puppy Sadie.

differentID · 18/03/2009 20:56

It's a bit sleb-follower isn't it?
Sadie Frost anyone?

fulltimeworkingmum · 18/03/2009 20:58

Definitely canine...

traceybath · 18/03/2009 20:59

Pretty name but like others have said 'sadie frost' would ruin it for me.

QuantitativeMeasure · 18/03/2009 21:04

Isnt Thomcats yongest DD called sadie?

I like it, its different.

EyeballsintheSky · 18/03/2009 21:07

I'm a Sarah, constantly shortened to Sadie. Nothing sleb about me I really like it.

WinkyWinkola · 18/03/2009 21:08

Great name.

I'd love to use it but a good friend and DH's cousin already has.

kittykat21 · 18/03/2009 21:09

It's a nice name, but it's not very unusual, i know two people called sadie.

ilovesweets · 18/03/2009 21:24

How can Sarah shorten to Sadie?

2 syllables each - check

5 letters each - check

I love it! and want to use it if this baby due in 5 weeks is a girl. DH hates it though

redpyjamas · 18/03/2009 21:28

Please can anyone suggest a couple of unisex names that go well together, (for twins where I don't yet know the gender).
Or names that transfer easily to the other gender if 6 months after birth I find out that I got their gender wrong: e.g. ferdinand/fernanda.
Thanks for your inspiration.

hester · 18/03/2009 21:29

I have always liked Sadie. It's a Jewish auntie name.

redpyjamas · 18/03/2009 21:29

RachieB · 18/03/2009 21:46
