We had the same problem for our kids as we have a common single syllable surname and you have to, I think, have a l;ong name for a girl with lots of syllables to avoid them sounding harsh.
Therefore we had Harriet for DD, but we named DS Max as we though a 1 syllable first and second name was quite manly.
I don't mind Magnus or Dexter and Anouska but the other ones are pretty dire!
