Sorry don't like any of them. But it is your choice nothing to do with me, if you love one of them go for it.

PuppyMonkey · 06/01/2009 14:29

I'm not too keen on them. I sorta like Evangeline, but I worry that it would be shorted to Vag.

choosyfloosy · 06/01/2009 14:30

Like all those - penelope specially nice as I love Penny, and Georgiana is lovely too.

Not wild about Evangeline, prefer Emmeline but I think it's having a moment if that bothers you.

midnightexpress · 06/01/2009 14:31

I like Evengeline too, but hadn't considered the Vag option. Could also shoten to Evie or Eve or even Angel I suppose.

midnightexpress · 06/01/2009 14:31

Oooh yes, Emmeline is nice.

SAEJ · 06/01/2009 14:40

I LOVE Penelope, I like Georgiana too but prefer Georgia or Georgina TBH.

Not keen on Felicity - reminds me of Flick from Neighbours and Evangaline am not as keen on as I think Angelina Joile used it recently for one of her twins.

bratnav · 06/01/2009 14:40

Emmeline is lovely, I am a little worried about Evangeline as there seem to be loads of Evies around here.

My latest fav is Claudia.

ten10 · 06/01/2009 14:43

Like Penelope from your list,
Evie/Eve are too 'popular' round here for me to like them to much

You seem to like longish names so have you also considered
Genevra
Imogen
Francesca
Cassandra
Hermione

bratnav · 06/01/2009 14:47

DP and I both love Hermione, but were concerned that it has been used a lot in the last few years. I'm not being precious, really I'm not, I know we won't ever have a unique name, but DD2 is in reception with 3 other girls with the same name, and I don't want it to happen again.

I really love Penelope!

Felicity is ok.

Evangeline is pretty but likely shortened to Eva, Evie etc which is way too popular imo.

vess · 06/01/2009 15:42

Felicity. Or Georgia.

Sesi · 06/01/2009 15:42

I agree about Evangeline, great name but the shine has gone since the never ending craze for Evie, Eva, & Eve began.

How would you pronouce Georgiana? I never used to like it until I realised you could pronounce it George-Jayna after watching the film The Duchess. Now I think it's lovely.

Penelope and Felicity = lovely, down to earth and simple but still very feminine.
last two are OTT aspirational film star names IMO.

Evangeline makes me think of big lips Jolie and what a waste of space she is.
I had a friend calle Felicity and she was really girly and lovely, She was known as Flick which I thought of as lovely
Really dont like Georgiana, sounds like a Lura Ashley wallpaper, sorry, thats just me

Nancy66 · 06/01/2009 17:39

Evangeline is too similar to Angela for my liking.

I think Penelope is sweet - makes me think if Penelope Pitstop.

I prefer Georgina to Georgiana which is a bit of a mouthful but not keen on Felicity.

Lydia
Hope
florence
Beatrice
Elspeth
Esme

...sort of the same ilk

Boobz · 06/01/2009 18:02

Penelope and Evangeline are on my girl list. I personally think Angelina Jolie is a good person to be compared to, if you're going to be compared to any famous person, so wouldn't worry about that connection.

Georgiana I am a bit "meh" about, and Felicity is too public school for me (I went to one).

audley · 06/01/2009 18:06

There all fab, in order of preference Georgiana, Felicity, Penelope, Evangeline

LynetteScavo · 06/01/2009 18:10

I like Felicity.

Georgina's tend to be a bit big boned - don't they?

Penelope is pretty, but I've never been keen on Penny - I wen't to school with 2 Pennys who were very quiet & bookish. (But maybe this is what you are aiming for - would make parenting easier)

I like Evangeline- I don't think there are too many Eva's around.

naswm · 06/01/2009 18:12

DS2 would have been Felicity had he been a girl. but he was always going to be a boy, so was called the boys equivalent...

LaDiDaDi · 06/01/2009 18:17

I love Felicity and Penelope.

A bit less keen on Georgiana.

I wouldn't go for Evangeline if I were you as you seem to like quite uncommon names and Evie, which would be the most likely nn, is very poular.

mogwai · 07/01/2009 19:10

Georgiana from the list, though in it's full form it's poncy.

Georgie is lovely for a girl though

HeadFairy · 07/01/2009 19:11

Don't like any of them really, but their shortened forms are nicer.. flick, penny, georgie and edie.
