I'm not pg just broody and wondering what the general opinion of Alice is? Anything links I haven't thought of (apart from wonderland)?

Oh dear. Wish I hadn't seen this thread. DH and I couldn't agree on DD2's name so called her Emily Alice and then the family name we couldn't escape. The idea was that we'd decide as we went along whether she was an Emily or Alice but inevitably she's ended up an Emily. I do like her name but it is so popular I wish I'd pushed for the Alice.

I was deterred by the fact that DH so definitely preferred Emily but also the rude song, the camel song, that it doesn't go brilliantly with our surname (but Emily does) and that we didn't want an nn Ali as that would just make me think Alison (no offence to all those out there ). If only I'd thought of Lissy that's who may be waking up now not Emily. Oh well.

Sorry - off topic. It is a lovely name. Does have some connotations that our contemporaries may pick up on but shouldn't affect a child now. Gorgeous name. Not popular yet not unheard of.
