Pearl or Dora

Still struggling with girls names for baby due in weeks. Any thoughts on these?
I know Dora is a little spoilt by 'the explorer' but I really like it as a name!

Dora is pretty.
Not sure about Pearl. It has a certain style about it but it's a bit blunt to my ears. I don't really like one syllable names apart from nicknames.

I agree about Pearl being the pre war 'Tracy'. My nan used to have a couple of friends at bingo called Pearl.

Names are sooo personal but personally, I don't think pearl is due a revival.

Have to admit I don't like either. Dora is ruined and Pearl is far too old.

I agree old ladies.I would say that you were spot on with 'pre war Tracy'. Funny to think that in 50 yrs time people will probably be giving Tracy another burst of popularity!
