Old Lady Girls Names..

To go with Charlie.

Baby isn't due until March but we just can't decide on any names and it's exhausting us both a bit...

Artichokes - I called my daughter Matilda - what put you off?

zebraa - Constance, Nancy and Nell (wanted that but didn't work in Italian). Maybe it's time for a revival of Enid, Ethel and Eunice.

Just a few ideas.

Have met a few babies with some of the above names - still never seen a baby Doreen though!

Ena, Ada, Ida, Eudora, Eugenia, Gladys, Lavinia, Octavia, Winefride. Can't imagine why Lucretia fell out of favour .

We have two elderly neighbours named Charlie - their wives are called Joan & Mavis?!? (quite like Mavis - not so keen on Joan, (the names that is, the ladies themselves are lovely))

My grandmother Edith, her sister Mabel (known as May).

My other grandmother Nana, her sisters Gertrude, Margaret, Audrey, Gladys and Hilda.

My great-aunts Edith, Kate, Alice and Lily.

Others from their generation - Emily, Gwendoline, Elsie, Dorothy, Helen, Ivy, Sarah, Irene, May, Emma, Jessie, Valeria.

I love Matilda, Emma, Mabel, Elsie and Nora but DP has said absolutely not a chance to all of them. He likes... Erica!!! NO CHANCE!

My grandmothers were called Bertha and Winifred, Dh's grandmothers are Kathleen and Sarah.
