Martha, Matilda, Mollie, Florence, Kitty, Millicent (Millie), Rose, Lillian (Lily), Elizabeth, Edith, Jane, Cassandra, ...

Pick up some of the old classics such as Jane Austen books - have a look for inspiration.

artichokes - really?

i really wanted to like maud when was preg with dd - would have given it to her as a middle name if i could have brought myself to like it!

Hassled · 07/12/2008 20:32

Clarice. Pronounced Clariss rather than the Clareese of Silent of the Lambs.

chequersandroastedchestnuts · 07/12/2008 20:33

My grandma was Blodwynn, don't suppose you fancy that much

artichokes · 07/12/2008 20:43

Ja - I wanted to call DD Matilda with the nn Maude. I really love it.

I am now pregnant with DD2 and would use Josephine if SiL didn't already have a Joseph.
