Indian/English baby names

My friend is half indian/half english and her and her DH are looking for a name that will work in both cultures. Can you make any suggestions and I will refer her to this thread. Thank you.

its more important to get the religion right, rather than the name.
so maryam, aisha hannah would work perfectly well if muslim, but not if hindu.
maya maha would work for both
ashok, anil, kiran for boys hindu names.

what about Dylan/Dillon?

I love Ashok and seriously considered it for one of our ds' but decided against as we have no Indian heritage at all.

I read a book the other day about two Indian girls with the names Anahita (Ana for short) and Indhira (Indie for short) and love them both!
