I don't think we have the same taste in names so I will keep my opinions to myself

LynetteScavo · 28/09/2008 13:06

Cordelia.

electra · 28/09/2008 13:07

Cordelia is nice but reminds me of the character in Cat's Eye. So maybe Clarissa.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/09/2008 13:08

Cordelia

falcon · 28/09/2008 13:08

I like Cordelia and Emmeline but I'm not fond of the others, certainly not Myrtle and I hate Daphne.

peanutbutterkid · 28/09/2008 13:13

I quite like Daphne, retro-cool.
Clarissa is nice, too -- others I'm neutral about.

fanjolina · 28/09/2008 13:24

Emmeline

frazzledoldbag34 · 28/09/2008 13:49

Errrr.......not sure. Hate Myrtle I'm afraid - sounds inelegant and ugly. Myrtle the Turtle (what was that from again?)
Emmeline or Clarissa I guess would be my choices of the 5.

Podrick · 28/09/2008 13:50

Daphne & Cordelia

QueenBhannae · 28/09/2008 13:53

Cordelia

dinkymum · 28/09/2008 14:40

Clarissa or Emmeline

skydancer1 · 28/09/2008 14:49

I think Emmeline is the only one that doesn't sound like something from an old romantic novel, and can be shortened to Emme or Emma if your DD wants to be normal at school. I suppose Clarissa ok too.

i think they are all awful - sorry

janeite · 28/09/2008 16:52

Emmeline is quite nice. I don't like any of the others at all, I'm afraid.

TheConfusedOne · 28/09/2008 17:00

Cordelia.

I know a little Cordi, beautiful child.

MuffinMclay · 28/09/2008 17:06

Like Cordelia

Emmeline makes me think of that (very sad) Hot Chocolate song. Emma is much better.

Janni · 28/09/2008 17:07

Emmeline.

Please, not Myrtle.

Playdough · 28/09/2008 18:59

Cordelia is lovely (if tragic ... King Lear). and I like Clarissa.

I know a Myrtle, changed her name to Anne at the first opportunity. The plant is nice tho.

Not Daphne, too Scooby Doo.

Not fond of Emmeline (though bound to be shortened to Emma, which would work).

AbbeyA · 28/09/2008 19:13

Emmeline is the only reasonable one! It has the advantage of being shortened to Emma.

edam · 28/09/2008 19:15

Daphne - too wet. All those soft sounds PLUS memories of Malory Towers.

Cordelia - not a very good omen for her relationship with her father.

Clarissa - very horsey. Depends how posh you are.

Emmeline - possible. Nice nod to the suffragettes.

Myrtle - no no no no no! Poor child. Moaning Myrtle, Myrtle the turtle...

CountessDracula · 28/09/2008 19:23

All terrible sorry

Servalan · 28/09/2008 19:24

Cordelia. Without a doubt.

EdwardCullenCanHaveMySoul · 28/09/2008 19:24

Cordelia or Emmeline.

norkmaiden · 28/09/2008 19:25

Emmeline is cool
