middle name to go with Eve

Had a little girl 3 days ago, still no name!!

Already have a little girl called Iris who is almost 2 but just can't get a name we love this time.

Liking Eve at the moment but before we had her we'd kind of agreed on Nora. DP not keen on Nora now. My problem is that i want to be sure its the right one and i'm not just making a decision based on my hormones and also i need a middle name that flows well.

Nora would have been Nora Joan (joan after my lovely gran who died in april) but i can't get a middle name to sound right with eve.

Need one middle name as both my other kids have one and want to keep them all the same!

Any suggestions??

Eve Nora?

pop1973 · 20/09/2008 21:18

We tend to go with a mix as scottish family on my side and dp has a welsh background. So we have a welsh first name and scottish second name.

Just an idea.

Eve Nora-Joan

ledodgy · 20/09/2008 21:22

I have an Eve Mary

ShinyPinkShoes · 20/09/2008 21:23

Evie Rose

Eve Louise

Evie May

Lots of them sound better with Evie rather than Eve!

Lilyloo · 20/09/2008 21:23

Eve Grace

Eve Joan is nice!!

Remotew · 20/09/2008 21:28

Glad you like my mnet name, lol. If Joan is important to you then don't leave it out. Eve Nora Joan.

I think a long middle name is nice after a short one:

Eve Clementine Joan
Eve Madeleine Joan
Eve Amelia Joan

minkersmum · 20/09/2008 21:33

Since his only input is answering no to my many suggestions i think i should just pick what i like!!

It was me who birthed the 9lb9oz not so little lady after all.... and i'm sure he had the brass neck to wince at one point when i squeezed his arm during a contraction.

Eve Catherine
Eve Verity
Eve Miriam
Eve Mabel
Eve Scarlett
Eve Prudence
Eve Meredith

I don't think Eve Nora works; its sounds too much like 'even' or 'evening'.

Eve Joan sounds fine - and it's nice to honour gps/ps through middle names.

Majeika · 20/09/2008 21:36

what about Nell?

Nell Gabriella Joan

Majeika · 20/09/2008 21:36

minkersmum · 20/09/2008 21:36

beanieb · 20/09/2008 21:38

how about evie blue?

Remotew · 20/09/2008 21:39

Eve something Joan. Drop the Norah, but keep Joan. I so wish I'd put my mums name as DD's middle but she was alive and kicking then, sadly not now.

Oh how I await a grand-daughter.

singyswife · 20/09/2008 21:40

Daran and Dora aparently mean gift. Have just googled. how sad am I?

singyswife · 20/09/2008 21:40

Sorry Daryn.

hughjarssss · 20/09/2008 21:41

I have an Eva Kasia

hotmama · 20/09/2008 21:41

I've got an Evie Harriett.

When I read Nora Joan I read it as Norma Jean aka Marilyn Monroe.

Remotew · 20/09/2008 21:41

Do you like Eva? DD has just suggested this. Eva Joan, beautiful.

Don't normally get involved with the names threads but well I couldn't ignore this one.

singyswife · 20/09/2008 21:43

www.babynamestats.com This is a good site, you put in the meaning and it gives you the names.
