Still going on my daily mind changing. i swear DH is going to be driven mad if I talk about it anymore to him so I have to rely on the wisdom of you lot!!

Ok, think i've narrowed it down to these 3. Be as kind/mean as you like by the way - i appreciate the honesty.

  1. Thomas Arthur (named after both grandfathers so bit of family history)

  2. Joseph Isaac (bit old testament??)

  3. Rory Alexander (Rory bit of a mouthful?)

Still got Sebastian David on list aswell but slipping as DH is going off it by the day.

Joseph Arthur or Joseph Alexander

I love the name Joseph.

Reginaphilangy · 07/08/2008 20:56

Sebastian David

Failing that, Thomas Arthur

Hulababy · 07/08/2008 20:57

Joseph Thomas
Arthur Joseph

youcannotbeserious · 07/08/2008 20:57

Personally, I think 3 is the best.

tiredlady · 07/08/2008 20:58

Alexander Isaac
Sebastian Alexander

tortoiseSHELL · 07/08/2008 20:58

Arthur Thomas
or
Isaac Thomas

cthea · 07/08/2008 20:59

3, then 1. To me, Joseph and Isaac look like they stem from the same thing (Iosif/Isac).

Aero · 07/08/2008 21:00

I have a Rory, so it's 3 for me. (Not so keen on Alexander though - think Rory James sounds nicer imo). Ds1 has middle names after family members.

Also, every Rory I've known, including ds1 is extremely placid and easy to get along with.

The other names nice too though.

HumphreyHassock · 07/08/2008 21:00

Thomas Joseph or
Alexander Isaac.

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/08/2008 21:02

Joseph Alexander

Jacblue · 07/08/2008 21:02

Ooh, Joseph Alexander is gorgeous. So's Thomas Alexander. Have always loved the name Sebastian but my dh wasn't keen either.

Watch out for Rory as lots of kids have pwoblems with their Rs don't they? If you can handle him introducing himself as Worwy for first few years then go for it - might be endearing...

MatNanPlus · 07/08/2008 21:03

Rory then Thomas tho would Arthur Thomas work with you surname initials wise?

Have friends niece as BSE and friends baby CBB

Jacblue · 07/08/2008 21:05

I agree Aero - knew a Rory many moons ago at primary school and he was very kind hearted and friends with everyone.

Sexonlegs · 07/08/2008 21:07

It depends what your surname is.

Jacblue · 07/08/2008 21:08

Beware of precarious surnames beginning with H if you go for no. 2!

nappyaddict · 07/08/2008 21:08

I like

Thomas Arthur
Joseph Alexander
Rory Thomas
Isaac Alexander

tigger32 · 07/08/2008 21:19

I really like Joseph Alexander and Thomas Arthur

HonoriaGlossop · 07/08/2008 21:47

I think if this was me I'd give the grandfathers' names as middle names - and go for Isaac which is the most unusual and stylish of your name choices on the list IMO

Isaac Thomas Arthur - very distinguished!

hw2004 · 07/08/2008 21:49

Funny you should mention Rorys being sweet-natured. I only know one but he is a really happy, smiling baby! Considering DS1 was incredibly difficult as a young baby i could do with a bit of luck on my side!!

i wonder if there is anything in it that names can influence your temperament?

OP posts:
LynetteScavo · 07/08/2008 21:52

2 or 3

there are too many Thomas's around IMO.

Bewilderbeast · 07/08/2008 21:54

thomas isaac or joseph arthur, don't like rory at all in any combunation
