I like Summer.

But why oh why are you capitalising every word in your post?

LynetteScavo · 06/08/2008 22:46

It's OK, but it's the name of Dawns baby in Eastenders.

Mummyof3and1angel · 06/08/2008 22:49

Thanks And Its A Habit I Think It Looks Smart

It's nice, but reminds me of Eastenders too much. I know a little girl called Summer from toddlers, and her mum is quite like Dawn, so i think thats where she got the name from. Pretty though

cthea · 06/08/2008 22:57

Mummyof3and1angel - it's difficult & quite annoying to read and must be difficult to type like that too.

Overmydeadbody · 06/08/2008 23:00

It doesn't look smart. It looks ignorant.

Mummyof3and1angel · 06/08/2008 23:10

ok even tho it has nothing to do with my thread but ok

Summer = soap name. Not just Easties but also Neighbours. Otherwise, I quite like it.

Quattrocento · 06/08/2008 23:15

I'd prefer Autumn to be honest, more original like

Overmydeadbody · 06/08/2008 23:16

That's better!

Summer's a nice name. And all that matters at the end of the day is whether or not you like it!

I like the name Summer!
Unless it is spelt like dd's school friend: SOMA!! reminds me of a stoma.

unknownrebelbang · 07/08/2008 00:14

I like Summer, and I like Autumn.

I know an older woman with the middle name Storm, and it really suited her.

TwoBigNorks · 07/08/2008 08:39

Summer Elizabeth
Summer Louise
Summer Elina

I would go for longer and more traditional
hth

frazzledoldbag34 · 07/08/2008 08:44

Sorry, I don't like it. Sounds a bit hippyish to me! Or a bit soap-opera-ish, but maybe you like that?
I know a little girl called Autumn though, and again not keen (plus I know she was born in Spring).

hw2004 · 07/08/2008 10:11

Sorry don't like it - think it's just a bit too modern for me and i prefer traditional names. JMHO though!!

wessexgirl · 07/08/2008 10:13

Summer is nice, though I do know a Summer Angel, which I think is a bit OTT.

lizinthesticks · 07/08/2008 14:07

It Would Work Well With The Surname Zover.

Pinkjenny · 07/08/2008 14:09

Summer is lovely, but here in Liverpool, where I live, it's very popular...

TwoBigNorks · 07/08/2008 14:36

Summer Zover lovely, sorry, should be Lovely, LoOkS SmArTeR

jellybeans · 07/08/2008 22:06

jellybeans · 07/08/2008 22:06

like it alot.

Stars22 · 07/08/2008 22:34

I think Summer is a nice name very pretty altho i wouldnt use it if the baby was born near christmas, much prefer it to Autumn.
(Also about the writing at the start i think it was just as easy to read and don't no why people had to critize you about it.)

nickeldime · 08/08/2008 16:58

Summer's quite a popular and trendy name in recent decades. Among the 'season' names though, it is superseded by Natalie (christmas) and Autumn, from statistics here: www.babynamespedia.com/search/f/season

Ineedsomesleep · 08/08/2008 18:58

How about Summer Rose?

I know an adult Summer who is straw blonde, tanned, freckled and has cornflower blue eyes. Couldn't think of a name that would suit her more.
