Tara - chav or not?

It's an Asian name.

And stop with the chav comments, it makes you sound thick.

Chav (chavi) means a Romany gypsy child so it is Indian in origins, Tara is an old Irish name.

It's also a Hindu name. I know a couple of Indian ladies called Tara

I think that relates to the Buddha Tara

I've never considered it to be a chav name no. It's a nice name.

The only Tara we've ever known was frightfully smart.

There's also Bryan Ferry's youngest son who's called Tara so a quirky UMC boy's name too...!
