no i dont care if you like the name or not, i am not asking for opinions like that and will ignore any!

For those that know a Dominic, what sort of things does dominic get shortend to? Dom? Nick? Domi?

If you know a dominic, what do they say about their name?

I asked this in a thread a couple of days ago!

See responses here.

fryalot · 10/07/2008 07:55

I call him Dom.

I don't mind the name, but I struggle to say it. It's like Jeremy - when I try to say Jeremy it comes out Jeremememememy and Dominic often comes out Dominiminiminic.

Hence shortening it to Dom.

throckenholt · 10/07/2008 07:55

Dom - is the shortened version I know.

spicemonster · 10/07/2008 07:57

Dom. I've never heard anyone call him anything else.

Wordsmith · 10/07/2008 08:00

I know of one (who I think is also gay) and he's known as Dom. No idea whether he likes it, sorry!

It's DH's middle name and he hates it but I quite like it.

One of my uncles is Dominic, known as Uncle Dom (but his siblings sometimes called him Dommie - he was the 2nd youngest of 7).

A friend's brother is also Dominic and that's what everyone calls him.

Really nice name - I know you're don't care but hey!

There's one in DS class. Grown ups call him by his full name, some of his friends call him Dom. DS has just about stopped calling him DoNiMic. (By the way is there a name for the ability to ALWAYS get that sort of word wrong? eMeNies, aMiNals, etc)

LadyThompson · 10/07/2008 11:54

Known two Dominics, both called Dom. One was really cool, the other is a needy loon. It's a good name I reckon.

TheFallenMadonna · 10/07/2008 11:56

All Doms or Dominics.
