I have a (not very) shortlist, brothers have pretty classic names, starting J,D,A,C and probably want to avoid those initials unless I love the name.

Michael
Elijah/Eli
Levi
Ernest
Leo
Dominic
Francis
Gabriel
Miles/Milo
Vincent

Good names.
I love Dominic (I have one!) and think Michael is long overdue a revival.

Congratulations! How lucky to be blessed with five boys!

How about James, Arthur, or Samuel?

As I have just watched a documentary about the miners strike on Netflix, I would go for Arthur!

What, after Arthur Scargill??!! 🤣

Ooodelally · 13/09/2026 09:15

From your list, Dominic

Pumpkinsaregrowingnicely · 13/09/2026 09:15

I've got 8 ds's
.the last 2 have no middle names as I simply ran out of names i liked!

mum2jakie · 13/09/2026 09:22

Ben(jamin) goes nice with your DC names. Congratulations!

He was the 12th son of Jacob in the bible!

ProtestantTraybakeQueen · 13/09/2026 09:28

Duckyneedsaclean · 13/09/2026 08:30

Totally outing but other sons' names are Jacob, Charles (Charlie), Anthony and David

I know you 😂congratulations.

Patrick or Dominic are perfect IMO.

ProtestantTraybakeQueen · 13/09/2026 09:30

Actually I change my mind as you don't want 2 Ds. Nicholas is one of my fave names!

Mumofgirls2017 · 13/09/2026 09:52

Vincent, Ernest or Leo

MagnoliatheMagnificent · 13/09/2026 09:58

Elliott (my favourite boys name, but I had girls) Dominic, Christopher, Alexander

MummyOre · 13/09/2026 10:01

Levi, Myles and Milo

Congratulations!!

itsgettingweird · 13/09/2026 10:01

Dominic
francis
miles

are my favourites

DisforDarkChocolate · 13/09/2026 10:13

Matthew is a good option but your list is excellent.

I prefer Leon to Leo and while I love Francis the fact I remember the male spelling because of the erect i would stop me using it. I'll accept I'm weird.

LittleGreenShoots · 13/09/2026 10:14

I love Gabriel! I only know one but it is such a strong yet beautiful name for a boy. Makes me think of far from the madding crowd and I love that book so much,

I would avoid Francis as its confusing with Frances (girl) and I don't like Frank as a nn (which I'm not sure you could control)- I imagine an old wheeler and dealer man like in Eastenders.

CarriMarie · 13/09/2026 10:14

I like Dominic best from your list, but if you want to avoid another D name, Samuel, Elliot or maybe Isaac or Zachary. Quinn would be a great middle name.

damemaggiescurledupperlip · 13/09/2026 07:59

Quintus

Came here to say this!

🖐

spreadandsprinkles · 13/09/2026 10:18

How about Quincy, Quin for short
I love Gabriel best from the list.

JacknDiane · 13/09/2026 10:19

Id go for Leo

LOCOJDS · 13/09/2026 10:19

I love Michael, just a classic name

Eli.

Question and quincy mean five btw

WhatNextImScared · 13/09/2026 10:21

its a great list but I find Michael boring and Dominic posh and domineering (comes from “classic Dom” perhaps) - all the rest are lovely

I would pick Elijah or Levi probably

WhatNextImScared · 13/09/2026 10:22

Quinn is great

ThatSereneCat · 13/09/2026 10:23

Wilfrid, Barnabas?

I love Gabriel and Francis

TrojanDonkey · 13/09/2026 10:24

I really dislike the name Francis, it’s just so meh, wet.

I love Elijah, Leo and Milo.
