Vote on these traditional boys names

Struggling to choose between these traditional boys names. I also like Cameron and Hamish, but I probably won’t use one of them. Vote for your favourite to help me decide. Thanks!

They’re all fine but very dull….. There are far too many of them imo. Are there no other names you like?

James
I like James and also like Jamie or Jimmy.

Cameron and Hamish are both far more interesting and memorable!

Actually.....if you accidentally have twins (it happens....one hides on the scan) you could have Cam and Ham 😂

I think they're all nice, classic names and you can't go wrong with any of them. I voted for James but Henry would also be joint first choice. If DD had been a boy, she was going to be Henry James (we only didn't choose James as a first name as another close family member is called that).

We also really liked Edward & Dominic.

James, followed by Hamish, Henry and George. I'm not keen on Cameron

Cameron makes me think of a former PM and all the Camerons I know end up being Cam. It was also very popular around 2000 especially in Scotland so seems a bit dated.

Really lovely names that will take your child anywhere. So refreshing after all the ridiculous modern names that are usually saddled on babies.

I like James and Hamish.

There are so many Georges at my DC’s school and more. About 6 in their year plus a friend has a George.

James top, then George and then Henry.

I don’t like Cameron or Hamish.

Hamish is outstanding, the others a bit dull imo

Refreshing? I know at least 10 boys/men named Henry, James & George each.

Hamish is my favourite but voted Henry of the options.

James is a mumsnet favourite, I knew it would win the poll! I've known some lovely Jameses but also a couple of awful ones, there's something I just don't like about it. I like all the diminutives of James though, especially Jamie.

There's so many of them as they are classics that never go out of fashion. There's nothing wrong with a classic as they never date.

They may never date, but they also don’t fulfill their purpose of identifying someone (without having to add a surname or other identifier)

That's ludicrous. Does everyone on the planet need a completely unique name.Or they can't be identified?

In real life (I worked in a primary school up until around a year ago, and have 2 teens for reference) I know one Cameron, no Hamishes, and 2 James. One of which is mine.
