What are your thoughts on this name? It is top of my list but DH is taking some persuading. He thinks it is already too popular

any other suggestions?

Is it really popular now? I have one (5) after my Grandad and only met one older girl and one young boy called it so far! Guess it’s due a revival as part of the grandparent name trend though :)

No idea if it’s really popular but it’s a classic imo.

My dad was called Gerry (Gerald). I like that name too. Don’t seem to hear that these days. His dad was called Felix Charles (a Londoner) think he went by Charles/charlie. You only really hear of pets being called Felix and I named my cat that.

My dad was christened Frank and got annoyed if anyone assumed it was short for Francis which he considered effeminate- although that wasn't the word he used.

I love it and would personally have full name Franklyn

I like it but it does seem to be on a real upswing, so if that bothers your DP you probably have to find something else

I love it, sadly DH isn't keen or it would be top of the list for me.

Much better than Francis though, Francis is such a wet lettuce name

Frank is dreadful. It’s such a harsh, ugly name. I can’t imagine looking at a lovely newborn wanting to name him Frank.
