Lilah Mae but maybe without the 'h'?

Disenchanted · 10/06/2008 22:48

Or maybe Lyla?

noddyholder · 10/06/2008 22:49

i like kitty

Disenchanted · 10/06/2008 22:49

Lila,

so many spellings lol!

OP posts:
Pinkchampagne · 10/06/2008 22:49

Lila May.

Disenchanted · 10/06/2008 22:50

May with a 'Y' wouldn't work because of our surname

Lila Mae even!

dizzydixies · 10/06/2008 22:50

agree with Lila no h
they're all very pretty choices imo

quint · 10/06/2008 22:51

Like Lila, Like Kitty, but not keen on the combinations - sorry but you did ask.

At the end of the day, she is your daughter and go with what you like, I didn't with DD2 (though it was my choice really!) and now wish I did.

If you like the names everyone else will get used to them and she will just become whatever you name her

mazzystar · 10/06/2008 22:52

I like all the individual components [Lydia best and prefer Lila] but not so much in combination
Lilah Mae sounds a touch trailer trashy to me, but I kind of like that

Disenchanted · 10/06/2008 22:54

But the Mae would be just a middle ame so she would just be called Lilah or Lydia,

I wouldn't shout 'Lilah Mae' in the playground iykwim,

I don't want it to be Lilah-Mae. But seperate and unused unless asked what her middlle name is.

MadBadandDangeroustoKnow · 10/06/2008 22:56

Any permutation of Lydia, May and Amelia in my totally irrelevant opinion!

mazzystar · 10/06/2008 23:00

ok this is not going to win me any friends but I think Mae has become the noughties equivalent of Jane as a middle name. a bit pointless/ubiquitous.

unless
your granny/favourite aunt was called Mae
you have a genuine Mae West obsession

quint · 10/06/2008 23:03

Ah but what about when you tell her off and use her full name then!!!!!! That can;t only be me and my mum who do that

kitchendevil · 10/06/2008 23:04

Amelia Kitty - don't do it

Disenchanted · 10/06/2008 23:10

Thats my favourite

Lydia, Amelia and Kitty are all lovely.

tortoiseSHELL · 10/06/2008 23:11

Don't like Mae or Kitty tbh!

What about Amelia Kate? A bit classier imo!

Disenchanted · 10/06/2008 23:12

Kates boring.

OP posts:
LaDiDaDi · 10/06/2008 23:25

I like Amelia and Kitty but not together.

I really like Lydia Mae. Lila Mae would be ok but I prefer Leila to Lila.

gnu · 10/06/2008 23:30

Don't put Mae in it.

tortoiseSHELL · 10/06/2008 23:43

I think Kate is beautiful!
