Hi, I'm expecting in March and it's a girl. Is Romilly a good name?
A slight fly in the ointment is that we had planned Roseann as a middle name as its a mash up of our grans names.

I have a Romilly who is 10. Often people aren’t that familiar with the name, but she has always had comments about what a cool name it is. She gets called Rom a lot though!

I absolutely love the name Romilly and considered it for my daughter who is now 21! First heard it because of the journalist Romilly Weeks.

Just tell him Romilly is her name and it's final 😂. Tell him the people of Mumsnet think it's the absolute best name in the world and she shouldn't be called anything else. Hehehe. I am going to try that with my own DH 🫢

Morven is bleak and Eliza is drab. Did he say why he’s gone off Romilly?

Eliza is lovely and even the teen ones I know go by Eliza not Ellie - so I think you’ll be fine to stick with her full name.

Romilly is a fab name . Don't love Roseanne with it tho. Anna Rose flows better

I like romilly I've recently had a baby and called her Romy. Pronounced Roam eee . I would have called her rommily but I wasn't keen on nickname Rommie , although some people do call her that 🤣

I’m from near Romiley, so it is always what I think of, but equally I know a little Romilly who is a delight and has made me love the name.
