Help! 6 week deadline is here! Is it a problem to use DD1's middle name for DD2???

Gave DD1 our two favourite names in case next child was a boy. Next child was a girl, so.... want to call DD2 DD1's middle name. Do you think this is a problem? DH thinks they will argue about it in years to come. Please tell me what you think. Got the appointment with registrar later today and our 6 weeks is up (yes, we have been arguing this point for several weeks....). Really don't know what to do!

name please? Come on. Everyone announces the name when they are tiny.

Missybaby -
Long story but I nearly changed DS2's name AFTER I had registered him. I looked into if you could do it and how and its really easy.
You can change the name any time within 12 months of registering for free.

So register as your name choice and a 'stand in' middle name and then change the middle name when you have decided for definite!

I think you made the right decision. I changed my name to a nickname of my middle name when I was 20. My parents thought I was crazy, but I did it anyway. And I'm sure they never even consisered I might do such a thing when they chose my first name. So now both of your girls will have more options as they each will have their own two names.

How old is your first DD? If still very little and has no idea what her middle name is....

Could you change her middle name and give it to DD2 and then give them both new middle names?
