What’s your fave girls name?

After some inspo! Super stuck on what to call our baby girl… 31 weeks pregnant so still have time, but just can’t imagine settling on a name. We have a Poppy already x

I’ve always loved Erica. In my head it is wildly different from Eric.

I’ve also been a teacher for a long time and never taught one. About 25 years ago I had a class with seven girls called Laura. That has clearly gone out of fashion but Poppy & Mia/Mya/Myah are very popular now…

I was once told Erica is Heather, in German - which I think makes it even more lovely!

I’d have loved a Florence but our surname sounds too much like Pugh to get away with it. Love Irish names, or proper classic English names like Margot, Edith and Sylvie

Nothing ending in 'ie'.

And it doesn't have to 'match' with Poppy. One day they may live on different continents, they don't coexist as a pair.

I learnt something there, I always thought it was pronounced Ay-lish, fortunately I've never met one so didn't embarrass myself!
