Thoughts?

OP posts:

It's fucking awful and chav central. But if you're set on Beau, then call her Bo (like Bo Derek). Beau is 100% masculine and she will be bullied. Lilah on it's own isn't too bad, so why not just go with that.

Mansionscoldandgrey · 09/10/2025 15:08

Is your surname hat?

CelestialGazer · 09/10/2025 15:03

Why, why, why…?

Very good. 😆

bridgetreilly · 09/10/2025 15:10

It’s just a really awkward sound apart from everything else.

How about Bowl-Isla?

Calliopespa · 09/10/2025 15:10

How about Blow-Lilo? You could launch a pool inflatable range in her honour.

On the off-chance you are serios op, just go with Lilah, though I think Lila is prettier.

Actually Lila is nice.

JaneEyre40 · 09/10/2025 15:10

It's obviously a piss take post.

manicpixieschemegirl · 09/10/2025 15:10

Beau-Lofchips?
Beau-lingball?
Beau-legged?

ShinyAppleDreamingOfTheSea · 09/10/2025 15:11

Feel sorry for any MNer who has named their child this. Not RTFT but it’s pretty obvious it will be slammed as chav central … and OP won’t return.

maslinpan · 09/10/2025 15:11

Beulah combines the two quite conveniently

GAJLY · 09/10/2025 15:12

Very chavvy, sorry.

JaneEyre40 · 09/10/2025 15:10

It's obviously a piss take post.

The terrible thing is it’s not even up there as the worse name I’ve known. 😂

LovingLimePeer · 09/10/2025 15:13

ChatGPT describes the name as:
slightly flashy, double-barrelled, “Essex energy”, over the top — not necessarily elegant.

When I asked it to consider the nominative determinism implications for the name it returned the the following:
Sounds like the protagonist of a reality show filmed entirely in a nail bar.

It must be true if an AI algorithm deems it so. Whatever happened to all the Alices and Matthews of the world? When did we get so weird about names?

Foundress · 09/10/2025 15:01

Only if her brother is called Balonz.

Her other brother could be Beau-Lox...

Brickiscool · 09/10/2025 15:14

Ditch the hyphen and it goes from awful to merely bad.

YYYDlilah · 09/10/2025 15:15

Why why why Beau-Lilah?

Purplecatshopaholic · 09/10/2025 15:15

Oh dear. Please don’t ever subject a child to that name.

allmymonkeys · 09/10/2025 15:15

Isn't it Beulah? I've only ever seen the name used in a Robert Heinlein book, but I believe it's biblical. Is that perhaps what they were thinking of?

HedwigHedgepig · 09/10/2025 15:16

Then I saw her face, now I'm a Beau-Lilah...

HGSurvivor1 · 09/10/2025 15:16

Sorry OP but I absolutely hate it. I like Lilah on its own, but the Beau makes it sounds so cheap and contradictory.

Mothership4two · 09/10/2025 15:16

Truly awful and setting her up for a lifetime of "sorry what was that?" and "and how do you spell that?"

BubblyBath178 · 09/10/2025 15:17

Hideous.

Sagaciously · 09/10/2025 15:17

My thoughts are this is a poor attempt at a wind-up. 0/10

DeeThree · 09/10/2025 14:12

Well Beau is male, so for that reason... I'm out
🙄

Same 😂

BunnyLake · 09/10/2025 15:18

Why hyphenate two names that don’t connect or flow in any way? Are you really going to be saying Beau-Lilah all the time?
