Thoughts?

OP posts:

You’re joking right?

Firebird83 · 09/10/2025 14:17

Bumdrops · 09/10/2025 14:10

Honestly that’s the chavviest name I’ve seen / heard for a while -

OP - what are your thoughts ?

Agree with this!

ACatAsleepInYourHat · 09/10/2025 14:20

As others have pointed out, Beau is masculine. How about Belle something? You could take your cue from Toast of London and call her Belle-Enda...?

Order a coffee in Starbucks and give that as your name when they ask. Then consider whether you want your daughter to go through life having to do the same…

This is such a good name test Grin

If you would feel embarrassed doing this then it's not a fair name to saddle a child with!

Beamur · 09/10/2025 14:24

Lilah on its own is nicer

ainsleysanob · 09/10/2025 14:25

Horrible. Sorry! Both parts of it too the Beau and the Lilah.

PurBal · 09/10/2025 14:29

Do you mean Beulah? (A biblical girls name)

stargirl27 · 09/10/2025 14:29

Not a huge fan of Beau for a girl. Maybe just Lilah?

purpleygrey · 09/10/2025 14:30

That’s a pretty shit name tbh.

noidea69 · 09/10/2025 14:31

What in the live, laugh, love?

Separately they are fine, but combined together, not great.

sheknowsitstoolate · 09/10/2025 14:32

My thought is no

Do you mean Beulah? (A biblical girls name)

I wondered if they were trying to spell that too. Beulah is a nice name, but Beau-Lilah is a mouthful, mixing boy/girl names, and too much potential confusion for pronunciation. Plus surely everyone would bother with the second part and just call them Beau for short?

alexdgr8 · 09/10/2025 14:34

I think this must be a joke
Or deliberately provocative...

MoonDanceDiner · 09/10/2025 14:34

It would be a no from me as well.

What about Beulah? My DH would have been named this had he been born a girl.

eqpi4t2hbsnktd · 09/10/2025 14:36

So confused!

LeopardsANeutral · 09/10/2025 14:36

Beau is usually a boys name I think. I like the other part, but spelt Lyla - I'm a big Oasis fan.

chickenlettuceunderbacon · 09/10/2025 14:38

No. Just don't.

Can't believe you have even asked this tbh.

Pemba · 09/10/2025 14:40

I like Lilah, but not this Beau-Lilah you've just made up.

  1. Beau is male. (Female would be Belle)
  2. Means 'handsome' so it's a lot to live up to, quite awkward.
  3. Sounds like a (male) character in 'Gone With the Wind', (set in the southern states of the USA, 1860s). Quite a cheesy vibe.
  4. Although it's a French word, you can bet it's not used as a name in actual France, as they'd find it ridiculous, just as in the UK we would find it weird to name your son 'handsome'. Poor kid!
  5. Hyphens are naff.

Just have Lilah! (or maybe Delilah if you want something a bit longer). Lilah is nice, why ruin it?

watermybegonias · 09/10/2025 14:41

Chavtastic! 🤢

treesandsun · 09/10/2025 14:43

I like them both individually but not together. I think the spelling of Bo for a girl it's just a two letters.

I hate the word chav - it's unnecessarily rude an often used by people who others would describe as chavs themselves

bibliomania · 09/10/2025 14:43

please don't

Westfacing · 09/10/2025 14:43

Is this a potential non-binary name?

How are intending to pronounce it?

Giving yer the benefit of the doubt here assuming you're genuine!

Didshejustsaythatoutloud · 09/10/2025 14:44

Naw, just naw

Needmorelego · 09/10/2025 14:44

Lilah is lovely.
Beau is.....odd.
Both together doesn't really work.
As someone said there is the name Beulah which is ok.

ZiggyZowie · 09/10/2025 14:44
