Milo or Axel

Hey,

I'm due baby number 2 and we're really torn between names

We currently have an Otis

We are torn between Axel or Milo

The middle name will be James and I'm just unsure on the MJ reference. Also I know a lot of people that have dogs names Milo which has put me off a bit.

Axel I'm worried about it being too different and being judged for it.

Please help with your opinions!

Axel as in bobby axelrod from billions
or Milo as in milo and stitch

for me its 50/50

When I was a teen and Michael Jackson was at the height of his popularity - everyone knew who MJ was

James.

I know who he is (was) but I wouldn't connect the initials "MJ" with him particularly.
I remember his nickname in the media often being "Jacko" or "Wacko Jacko".
I wasn't a fan though so maybe him being referred to as "MJ" passed me by.

These were two on my final shortlist - went with Axel! Love Milo too though! Both great

I prefer Axel but nothing wrong with Milo either. My daughter is an ‘MJ’ in terms of initials and no one has made any comment about it :)

I prefer Axel but I feel it's been corrupted due to the Southport massacre. On that basis id say Milo

I would go for Miles. You can still call home Milo as a child, but Miles sounds more ‘grown up’.

That's odd thinking.
If Milo from The Tweenies was a real person he would now be a 30 year old man.
Milo Whatshisname the actor (was in Gilmore Girls, Heroes) is almost 50.
There's a character in a series of crime books called Milo that if he was real would be about 75 !

I think maybe the PP just means that Milo suddenly got v popular for little boys, whereas you get the odd Miles of any age.

So in 30 years times there will be lots of 30 something blokes called Milo.
So why would people then think of it as a childish name?
They wouldn't.
