Unusual consecutive letter suggestions?

Hello
I’m expecting my second child in December. My husband and I would like a name which has an unusual combination of consecutive letters in it. Like Django. We don’t know the sex of the baby so need a girl and boy name. Surname is very plain and starts with a B and middle name will be Marianne or Marcus. I saw a truck with Dhollandia on the back earlier so that sort of thing but a name for a child obviously, not a truck. Can anyone suggest one? TIA

I so sympathise, OP.

We have a boring surname. That’s why our daughter is called ‘Xggyribttpp’ (pronounced Jo).

I think Lmnop is a good name (Ella-Men-Oh-Pee), reminds me of primary school - or try shutting your eyes and spamming random letters, gives some nice combos like Jdgbshjf and Osnhmke

Tadhg

I love the name Tadhg. If I’d had a son, that would have been high on my list.

@tripledutch Ptolomy is the best suggestion so far. I have known one, he goes by Tolly (or, I suppose Ptolly).

I also see another favourite name of mine mentioned -Psyche. Really beautiful, and obviously underused.

But if you have a dull surname there are other options. I'd suggest Venetia, and Sibylla, for girls. 'Normal' names but which have never been too popular.

Edited to add Calypso.

HugoYorway · 10/08/2025 22:57

@RogueFemale , it's Ptolemy.

How about Pliny, Terpsichore or Circe?

And what about then forever having to correct spellings and pronunciation

Plenty of people with perfectly common names still have to do that. My surname is about as boringly British as you can get. I still have to spell it every time. And it’s fine. Its
just not a big deal.

I keep reading Venetia as Vienetta. I blame the diet I’m on 😂
