In desperate need of name ideas!

Hiya,
I’m currently pregnant and due to give birth any day to a little girl and we have no name ideas!
This baby is very much wanted and after many losses and rounds of IVF I am so thankful I’m at this point in my pregnancy. However, my pregnancy has been quite stressful and so we haven’t had time to debate names and now her arrival is so close we have realised we need to get some ideas.
We like traditional names (I think) and the middle name will be Elizabeth xx

All of these are lovely, “can’t go wrong” names. My personal order of preference is

Abigail (because I love Abbie and you don’t hear it much these days)
Anna (lovely classic and I don’t know many)
Emma (gorgeous but every other mum in the playground is called Emma!)
Rose (I prefer Rosa or Rosie personally)
Beatrice (Beatrice feels quite formal and Bea quite informal - there’s not a good middle ground version imo)

Firstly, congratulations! I hope the rest of your pregnancy and birth are smooth sailing.

My suggestions are:

Iris (means Rainbow)
Freya (Norse Goddess of love and fertility)
Grace (meaning blessing)
Eve (meaning life)
Claire (meaning bright/clear)
Mary (or a variant of it - means wished for child).

My daughters are both babies born after a loss and have a combination of the above names. They all sound lovely with Elizabeth as a middle name, which is beautiful name itself.

I had Iris picked out if we had a girl, it means Rainbow 🌈 so fitting for a rainbow baby

I disagree. The name is fine but I dislike the term 'rainbow baby' as I feel it implies that the baby is a substitute.

don't panic tag in hospital can read your last name we didnt name our daughter for about 2 weeks.wait and see how the birth is what happens on the day how she is and her personality in first couple of weeks and the name will come to you

Those are all lovely choices. I personally like Emma and Rose the most, followed by Anna but all are good options.

beatrice is lovely and can be shortned to bea which is cute, but again you will know when youve spent some time with her dont pick for a few days and you will know

Anna is just beautiful, timeless and suits any age.

I was going to suggest Hope or Rebecca but feel Anna beats them both!

It’s hard to find a first name that flows well with Elizabeth being the second name. I don’t like the name Abigail at all or the shortened versions of Abbey, Abbie or Abs. It sounds like a bit of a mouthful when you say Abigail Elizabeth out loud.

Catherine Elizabeth is very pretty - here’s a nod to Princess Kate. 🙂
